And he was such the “leader”! Incited a mob to storm the Capitol and promised to lead them there, but instead went and hid in his bunker…

Sorry for repeating myself across comics, but Please seriously consider the following

The “Munich Putsch”, was a failed coup d’état by Nazi Party in 1923. The German establishment at the time wiped the dust off their hands and said “that’s the last we will see of that idiot”… and they were wrong.

Every time Trump has done something stupid, people’s response has been “well it can’t get worse than this”. It can. America can NOT let its guard down. America must stay vigilant. This isn’t over.

The MAGA mob that stormed, invaded and defiled the U.S. Capitol building, did so with the tacit approval of Trump. His “lizard” brain (he really has no other kind) cannot accept his loss, and ANY information given him to the contrary is summarily rejected!

In his own mind (what’s left of it), he “won” the 2020 presidential election, and silly little things like “proof” and “evidence” are worse than useless, since Trump ALREADY knows he won the election and any contrary evidence is just “fake news”!

Trust me, I’ve worked with the mentally ill and deranged long enough to speak with certainty that there is NOTHING anyone can say or do to make Trump believe otherwise. The ONLY people Trump is willing to believe are those people willing to debase themselves and pander to the president.

In the mean time we are left with a mentally deranged individual in the White House who is wildly unpredictable and largely uncontrollable!

Believe me, as the most powerful man in the world (due to the nature of the office he continues to hold), the amount of damage he can wreak on the world in his final 14 days is immense – especially with the sycophantic mindset of his followers!

And, no, the invocation of the 25th Amendment won’t work here because it is too slow and too weak to be effective at this time – the only solution I can see is patently illegal and would make whomever did it a pariah to a substantial portion of the American public, so THAT’S not a viable solution.

I’m pretty sure that the owner of the outgoing Occupant (the Russian dictator and war criminal, Vlad Putin) was laughing like hell yesterday watching the treasonous mob do exactly what his treasonous poodle told them to do. After Vlad told his poodle, of course.

agreed! I’ve been hoping the congress or the military would take a few minutes and make the pumpkin from hell taller by six inches or more.

    Call it as it is.

You know, in the 1930s the reactionary Nazis got their inroad to power by convincing the German conservatives to permit them into the conservative tent. Of course, once they got enough power they turned on the conservatives, too. The current batch of U.S. reactionaries has been using the U.S. conservatives in the exact same way, and the conservatives fell for it, hook, line, and sinker for years. Lindsey Graham acknowledged his start of awakening the other day when we got far too close to an insurgent mob destroying one of the pillars of democracy, the legislature (which has already surrendered far too much of its power to the current imperial president who created many EOs that he did NOT have the Constitutional power to create since they usurped the powers of the legislature and of the states). Thankfully, unlike Germany back then, the legislature did not give up to dictatorship, though a few reactionaries in Congress still tried to fold democracy, and one (Hawley) even saluted the insurgent mob.

As to Trump using the mob for his own profit (for which he should be punished to the full extent of the law): You can’t spell “sedition” without i d i o t s.

News video from Australia showing Trump family members celebrating the insurgency and encouraging the insurgents who were creating the coup attempt to fight. Mark Meadows and some others were joining in:

Remember the lessons of history, PLEASE:

Thankfully, unlike Germany back then, the legislature did not give up to dictatorship, though a few reactionaries in Congress still tried to fold democracy, and one (Hawley) even fist-saluted the insurgent mob.

Wise up. It is time for moderates and actual conservatives to take the Republican Party back from the reactionaries, legally depose them from their positions of power all over our nation, and for the leadership of both parties to make sure that they can not infiltrate a major U.S. political party ever again.

All of the electronics in the Capitol Building must now be considered to be potentially breached and not safe to be used.

Also, it is essential to remember how recently Trump fired so many high level military and security experts and replaced them with his boot lickers. Was that timed?

Another question that arose today that is related to some Capitol Police high-fiving the insurgents, their beforehand refusal of help from the National Guard, and their understaffing for the 6th: why had they locked away the hoses used for spraying cold water on those who break through the barriers?
