In our young and naive days (1985), my wife and I (still newlyweds) sat through one such tour-and-sales-pitch deal on a day trip to Atlantic City. I thought it was just a tour of a new hotel, and they promised a gift (a lithograph of Atlantic City in the 1940s, which we no longer have). Even then I could see through the baloney in the sales pitch, and I have pretty good sales resistance anyway. It also didn’t hurt that at that particular moment in our lives we were both unemployed, so we weren’t in any position to even consider such an investment!
KHOW 630 AM radio Troubleshooter show has a referral list of favored vendors and there is one, for sure, who they recommend for getting people out of time shares. The show runs from 10 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday and for long distance folks, is available through the iheart app and is on YouTube. They sometimes get calls from people not in Denver or Colorado.
If you call during off hours leave a note and number and they will call you back when they are on the air.
We did this a few times (listened to the pitch to enjoy a few free days in a resort) but decided it wasn’t worth it. Even worse now because they’ll get your phone number and email address and continue to harass you.
use to go to those for campgrounds, quit going when I got harassed for goin to so many and never buying, they showed me a pint out of all the ones I had gone to over the years, what a bunch of scam artists!
