I have to admit that I used a similar clause recently to get out of re-signing with a certain cable company. Initially I wanted to drop the service (because it went up about 30%), but then I allowed myself to get talked into switching to a different plan with them, which would have wound up costing nearly as much for fewer services. Thankfully, I was able to call them back within an hour and cancel.
Of course, before the deal is cancelled they’ll have to listen to a pre=rehearsed speech on why they really really shouldn’t cancel. The salesman is prepared!
