But education isn’t only about money. It’s about quality and depth. Education in the US began to weaken both beginning in the 1960’s. Homework canned. Grade levels expanded to 10 points per letter grade. Useless courses added to college curricula. 4 year degrees ‘relaxed’ to the point where one could stall off actual life indefinitely. Increases in tuition and college fees and building programs soaring to small town size. Imposition of Standards of Learning or SOL’s, a very appropriate acronym. The insidious college loan program, a natural result from more educational meddling by a dysfunctional national government.

The old when I was going to school they taught us to . . . often quoted by parents was once a pain to the young. Now the lyric has become I really wish they had taught us [name the subject] in school. Our current situation seems proof enough.

If a corporation pays for your education they can deduct the expense. So why can’t I. After all I’m in the business of raising a family.

Yes, your mortgage will be cancelled. However, your house will become the property of The State.

Well, a certain president once promised to cancel student loans from those of us who became teachers. It didn’t happen…sigh.

I would say that I second his recommendation as to home loan debt forgiveness but then the government would say they now own your home as in a “buyback” of all land privately held. We will then become the Communist States of America. Think……
