I saw an article where some anthropologists thought that bone growth for humans during the Ice Age indicated that people hibernated back then. That would explain why people today bulk up so much in the Fall.
I’ve never quite figured it out. I work harder shoveling snow than mowing the lawn and doing the rest of the yard work. Yet, I gain weight in the winter time.
