Sure it does. They’ll sacrifice your rights for their pleasure.

Y’know that whole “liberal snowflake” thing? I think it probably describes a whole LOT of USAians. And it’s not about being liberal, it’s about what people think they can or cannot stand. Try to imagine being your (great grandparent): 18 hour days, in the weather day after day after day. Dangerous tasks that might injure or kill you if you stop being alert or are just unlucky. Making do or doing without (and a lot of that last). No retirement, no days off, no doctors… or if there was one, he probably had more bedside manner than effective medicine. Now compare that with the horror of staying home unless you need food, with only netflix, the internet, zoom, an oven and refrigerator and maybe 150 channels of television. Oh how HARD it is.

    Snowflakes!

Since I work with a lot of young people and we’re “essentials” working our tails off for large numbers of entitled people who are vastly ungrateful, indignant that they are inconvenienced by not being able to have things 110% normal, and who in many cases simply cannot bring themselves to wear a mask properly if at all because the have no concept of anyone besides themselves, let me just state for the record that these young people are doing good and hard work, not complaining much, and that being a spoiled, ignorant, and complete butthole knows no age limit. It does however develop a nasty attitude (a real stench if you will) and greater disregard of others with a larger percent of older people from my day to day experiences. Youth has no corner on being spoiled idiots by a damned sight.

The urge is stronger than the fear. Pretty sure they will find a way to carry on the tradition.

I get it – Steve, who is based in San Diego, was triggered by a handful of students at San Diego State University who protested SDSU cancelling Spring Break next year.

In terms of optics, SDSU is one of the more diverse institutions in the United States, with 33% white and 46% male. The organizer of the protest was a female student in the College of Health and Human Services, and was concerned about mental health.

In terms of fact, this has been a brutal time for college students who, with the increasing economic disparity in our society, are worried about never catching up (it’s a valid worry). Breen’s characterization of this shows how shallowly he thinks.

Why the heck isn’t Breen using his talents to shame our leaders for letting economic disparity – and health disparity – rocket forward?

I guess he misses Animal House.
