greatest music? not for everyone. but they were for a LOT OF PEOPLE. the beatles were just a popular band who did indeed make great pop music for the day. they were popular and many people liked their music. had to have since they had so many hit records for years. their biggest impact was they influenced a lot of young people that they could also make their own music and be heard. so many bands in the 60’s were influenced by the beatles whether you admit it or not. they were pop and they did evolve with more elaborate pop music, and they were good for their time. pop serves it’s purpose. an easy beat a good tune to get into your head to help you pass the day. i do not care for sinatra, doris day and der bingle’s brand of pop.
