One thing I find interesting about this strip is the way the artist draws the characters’ gaits. It’s like they’re walking in a world riddled with tripwires.
Not everyone loves Christmas. For me it is a reminder that I am now alone in the world. No children, Today is the 10th anniversary of my wife’s death, and it was last century that I got together with family or friends at Christmas. It is just another lonely day, at home when you have no one left to share the holiday with. That’s why the Grinch hated Christmas, seeing everyone else happy made him jealous and miserable because he wasn;t part of the festivities and saw no way to become a part of the social structure that lets most people enjoy the holiday.

The Grinch really didn’t really hate Christmas. He hate people which is understandable. Also, he liked dogs since he had one. So if you don’t like dogs, you might want to do a little soul searching.
