    Turkeys cost much more in July. Time to buy them is 2 to 4 weeks before Thanksgiving.

    With smart families passing on the huge get-togethers this year I’m thinking there will be turkey clearance sales coming up soon.

    One of the stranger things about this holiday, however, is that a few days before everyone starts cooking, whole turkeys are suddenly discounted by supermarkets and grocery stores so really turkey prices are cheaper just before Thanksgiving.
