This cartoon reminded me of the Mel Brooks most recent rendition of ‘The Producers’.
It was a Broadway play based on a movie remake of a 1960’s movie about a Broadway play.
But of course it is.
However Mel’s remake of Ernst Lubitsch’s, “To Be or Not To Be”, starring Jack Benny waswell below par!
Danny Kaye did a patter song that described the plot of a cliche ridden movie. The song begins with similar provenance. Wish I still had the 10" LP.
It’s a literary turducken.
