Laughter is contagious. Even self-contagious. Sometimes I have to stop reading to catch my breath and wipe my eyes… and it very seldom seems quite as funny afterward.
It’s always sad when there’s something really funny you show to another person and they reluctantly laugh or give you a face and say, “I don’t get it.”
Reminds me of a book I checked out for children, Matilde the maid I think the name of the book, had me really laughing, reason reminds me, I called my mother-in-law on phone trying to read portion, I was laughing so hard and she never got it, I not call my own mom as she was not into books.
Had this in junior high. “Review question 1: Explain what is funny in this story.” Way to kill Stephen Leacock for a generation of Canadians, textbook writers!

It’s nice seeing sisters that can get along with each other.

I know a guy who laughs hilariously at his own jokes. He is his own best audience. I get a kick out of him laughing at his jokes!

My bride does this to me all the time. Now I simply say, “You wouldn’t get it.” and really tee her off!

A sense of humour is such a fickle thing.
