    Poor Fred. Little short legs do have a draw back at times. Especially having to propel that long body forward. You can do it. Like the little train that could.

    I had a short-legged Corgi that wasn’t so fast in a straight line but, she could “corner” like a sports car. Low center of gravity I reckon.

    I would often take Cleo, my Basset, for a walk, when she got tired she would simply lay down and not move until she was rested. There were often many stops along the way.
