My walk this morning was interesting, wind blowing with 40 mph gusts and 40 degrees. And that was at 10AM.

I did stop and make an appointment at the Hearing Center for Thursday. I’m tired of saying “what?”.

I checked my Walmart yesterday for a DVR. We have DVD players, but none that record. But I DO have a DVD/VCR combo which I bought several years ago with my extra holiday discount and it records. But there’s no tuner, so no way for it to recognize digital channels. I got rid of cable 16 years go or so. I don’t miss it a bit – especially now that my favorite cable channels are loaded with shows I don’t like. And now, I have Antenna TV, MeTV and Decades which show all the old classic shows I do like. So, I can’t record Our Miss Brooks on Decades at 3:00 in the morning. Maybe one of these days, I’ll find it on DVD.

By the way, I found something in our electronics department that really surprised me. I found a cassette tape recorder – and even some blank cassette tapes! I thought those were so obsolete I’d never find a those in the store again. As it happens, I have LOTS of cassette tapes of old radio shows and my cassette recorder/player hasn’t been working well. I’m adding that tape recorder to my shopping list for December.

Its nice to see parents striving for a btter future for thier kids than they have. Not sure Chesney sees it that way though

If Chesney did have a son in reform school, it would be obvious that he took after Chesney. On another note, saw three varied thrushes, a junco, a sparrow, a wren, and a golden crowned kinglet while out walking today.
