Finger pointing doesn’t solve the problem. But, very unfortunately, solve the problem isn’t really on the agenda for the GOP… and though it IS on the Democrats’ agenda, it’s probably not the top priority.
Bulldozing thru a SC justice, refusing a stimulus bill, a stack of other bills not receiving consideration – - is all this supposed to be good for the GOP senate and Mitch?
I have to agree with Rall on this one. The Dems should’ve gone along with the Repubs small measure of assistance as something is better than nothing. And many of the small businesses need something.
Canada did it, no pissing around, not perfect but it put money in people’s pockets to try and help us through this. Fortunately my CPP is intact.
Personally I think the American system is the dumbest I’ve seen, creating two houses that are in constant conflict. And of course the voters who can’t make up their minds and vote one party for senator and the other for congress. At the same time.
This is interesting. Ted’s portraying a generic homeless man, who has implicitly been homeless a long time, and thus not likely to be paying any taxes. Ted seems oblivious to the fact that stimulus checks goes to actual taxpayers. If Ted were actually aware of the world he would portray his partisans addressing a family parked in a MacDonald’s parking lot with the kids doing homework there because Mickey D’s has free wi-fi. Or maybe people lined up at a food pantry, or maybe people working two or three jobs and still can’t make ends meet, or maybe people in an ever lengthening unemployment line.Oh yeah, Ted might also have portrayed the democrat wearing a Trump virus mask.
If Pelosi and Schumer agreed to the GOP revisions to their stimulus plan (see Pelosi remarks about language changes inserted by Senate Republicans) Ted Rall and Mairi and every other Purity Perfectionist would condemn Congressional Democrats for enacting legislation which talks big but does not actually provide enforcement for their policy proposals.
But the important thing is to never stop humping the “duopoly” both-sides-ism the Purity Perfectionist Party fantasizes. As if those soon-to-be-three USSC justices, plus another 200 or so Heritage Foundation selections at lower federal court levels and another couple of hundred seats to be filled in the next four years by GOP nominees if Repubs’ retain the Presidency and Senate, don’t even exist.
Oh, and let’s not forget the justified hollowing out of trust in federal agencies as a result of corrupt Oval Office appointments.
And environmental protections slashed, worker protections diminished/disappeared, assault on the Post Office and federal public parks, and on and on.
Both parties are exactly the same! Believe it!! It’s true!!! Double double pinky swear!!!! So there!!!!!
You idiot! Democrats did not oppose the Republican bill because Democrats wanted the credit. They voted against it because the Republican bill offered recovery aid only to business OWNERS.
There you go, inventing stuff and getting angry about it again. And no matter how much you want to believe it, the two parties are not identical twins.

Can anyone tell me why congress and the senate deserve Cadillac pension and healthcare? Where as everyone else no longer have pensions and have to pay out the wazoo for health insurance? I know there are state ballot initiatives, is there anything like that for the Federal level? Would love to see that on a ballot, getting rid of their sweet deals.
