I inherited my grandmother’s furs and I wear them if the occasion warrants. I’ve been threatened and called a murderer while wearing them. I’ve always explained that the animals died before I was born and there’s no reason to let these furs languish in a cedar closet forever. I’ve changed very few minds with that logic, but I will continue to wear the furs and honor the animals’ sacrifice to my warmth.
Let’s see. Fur prices are down making trapping for the skins not very lucrative. As a result, furbearer numbers are up. In the last 5 days, I have trapped a bobcat, a skunk and 2 possums in my mother’s chicken pen. There were more skunks possums and coons over the summer as well. Obviously, the poultry number and decreased thanks to those critters. In fact, you might say the poultry number was getting paltry. ;)
Mink coats are about to get much more expensive. Literally millions of minks are going to be killed because a new strain of coronavirus has jumped from humans to minks and back again.

Dude, risky behaviour! After all she didn’t have a problem with killing those other animals.

After what we’ve seen from Denmark, I have no stomach for fur anymore.

Do you have any idea how many polyesters were killed to make that “fur”?

it makes one wonder just how many PETA attacks are made with a hint of envy.
