In real firing squads the guns are pre-loaded, some with blanks and some with bullets. That is made for the shooters, so they can claim that “it wasn’t me who killed the convict, there’s only a one-in-six chance that I had a bullet in my gun”.
A good sharp AX is much Quicker, messy but Quicker!
