How do you smush your muzzle into such a flat mask?

I liked the masks on Pearls Before Swine a while ago, which were on the ends of their extended snouts.

With all the fault finding and finger pointing that goes on around here I would think it would be a lot closer, Snark

Many comics face a problem with masking their characters. On Arlo and Janis, Arlo has a big nose while Janis has a big jowl. Mike Doonesbury’s nose is not easily masked, nor is his daughter’s (Poor thing, she takes after her father, like my daughter). The Duplex? Don’t even try.

I want a Chesny mask.

Today is:

National Chai Day

National Pecan Cookie Day. I just baked chocolate chip cookies a couple days ago, I’ll stick with those.

National New York Day

This is funny. Short back story, bear with me. My German Grandmother made her own wine. White in the spring (from possibly wildflowers and weeds) and in the fall a big red, good for making potroast and would put hair on your head, As a small child I got a glass too, watered down with a spoon of sugar. ( no parent police back then)

Anyway, every afternoon she would sit on her porch with her wine and a piece of bread. I have carried on this tradition, only with a small bowl of popcorn.

Because of the pandemic I am ordering mine on line to be delivered. I’m picking at random, and today’s was a Rose from Spain.

I opened it and it smelled of Peaches and something else. I had my daughter and SIL smell it too. I tasted it and it tasted of peaches and…something. Then it hit us. It smelled like peaches and cat urine!Tasted like…I guess thats what it tastes like. I poured it out and opened a nice Rose from the Willamite Valley.

I’m sure Chesney’s reputation will frighten off most anything. As for appearance, it’s an improvement. but I’m sure they still smell like dog.

I just had the duct cleaning man out to clean all of the ducts. I didn’t know the front door had to open the whole time so I had to round up the cats. I got 2 in the guest room and Scooter in our room. Then I had to get Moose and Blackjack out of the small room so he could work there.

I put Blackjack in a soft sided carrier and put it in the closet in our room. That little stinker clawed thru the mesh on the side. I took a second carrier into the closet and put him in there. Then I put him in the little bedroom again. Moose and Scooter were under our bed and I was standing guard when all of sudden they both shot out towards the living room. I caught Moose in the den and tossed him into the little bedroom but couldn’t find Scooter.

I stood guard at the front door and thought – if he got out I was a dead woman and Brad would go to jail. Once the guy was done and gone and I closed the front door, I found Scooter behind one of the kitchen drawers. Now they are all out.

And now Blackjack is sound asleep in the carrier he tore through, the little stinker.

And now I remember why the vid is so short – a helicopter was coming to land at the little airfield of Coburg above the Rögener Hütte and suddenly was such a very loud noise and my daughter stopped the video.

As masks go, that one isn’t so bad. Kind of cool, actually. Frankly, compared to a what we’ve been through this year, wearing a mask isn’t such a big deal. I always make to sure to never leave home without a mask. On another note, saw five dragonflies, two squirrels, and a banded woolly bear caterpillar while out walking today. It was bright and sunny out, though I’ve heard it will rain later tonight.
