I’m not into watermelon, but rather cantaloupe or honeydew… though I’m not sure I’d want two of either one when ’twill come to a grocery deal like that on a personal grocery run.

If you can afford quality get quality, if not work with what you’ve got.

Backyard garden. One year the Wife raised small yellow watermelons that were extremely fragile but the very sweetest I ever had. I carried them gently from garden to refrigerator after one fractured from just holding it tight.

This year, she did the basics. Potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, corn, peas. Oh, strawberries, endless strawberries.

How truly organic and natural are the things that are labelled as organic and natural?

Better to get what you know you will use VS throwing some away due to spoiling :-)

Realistically, who can tell the difference between Organic (no chemicals) and those fertilized with chemicals?

I’m hoping “ugly” comes back. Seems a shame on how much is thrown away because it isn’t “perfect”. People are dumb.

The produce labelled “organic” in my local market look no different from the “regular” stuff. They just charge 2 to 3 times more for it.

Difference between “organic” and regular food is the regular food is created by a star trek type replicator. The organic stuff still comes out of the ground.
