I never understood why some parents spank their children for less-than-stellar grades. Extra homework time each night or loss of a privilege until grades come up would work better and not involve physical punishment.

That is a good hint.

Like spanking will make her grades any better.

I don’t think that was the hint she was looking for…no matter how accurate it is!

Interesting that they’re now including the credits and original date.

Bad grades can be a real pain in the butt but good marks led to pain for Sluggo in a strip printed a few weeks ago.

Uh ooooh! Fritzi will be getting out dat hairbrush again….OUCH!

Corporal punishment for bad grades, and yesterday if it weren’t for that living room couch, Nancy would have gotten severely injured on a dangerous playground. And 8-year-old Sluggo is always working these adult-type jobs. Who needs Dickens and Oliver Twist, these mid-century modern kids had it way worse!
