I think that most of the REAL Republicans have left the Party they once admired because the ones speaking for the current “republican party” have betrayed the ideals once espoused. I also think that Biden is trying to stay in the middle of the road to try to attract enough people to fix the damage the Newt Gingrich republicans have caused this Country. I personally don’t want a fire and brimstone President, I want the Country back and headed in the correct direction.
Marty Two Bulls [and Thomas here] would like to see a more liberal president elected. At present, this voting for who represents us is thing is proving to be a real obstacle to our goal.
I suppose we had better stick with the vote, though. Offhand there doesn’t seem to be any other moral way to do it. Sadly, the majority of Democratic party voters preferred Joe Biden to Bernie or another liberal candidate. If Bernie had been nominated we would have an excellent alternative to Trump. Now we are walking in the majority’s shoes, and we still have an pretty damned good alternative.
Please keep in mind that his VP has the most liberal voting record in the U.S. Senate’s history. If we fail to oust Trump, how long will it be before another moderate, much much less a liberal, could realistically expect to receive the support of voters? Americans really are partial to winners. Let’s win this one and go from there.

If Trump is not ousted, we won’t be bothered with elections in the future. A vote for anyone but Biden (sorry, it shouldn’t be this way, but that’s how it is) is a vote for Trump. Think about what you’re doing and VOTE Blue.
Bernie is an Independent. Bernie declared himself to be a Socialist (Democrat). I’m sure that turned off many Democrats. From that time on, he was not going to win.
We already hear the false argument that we are Leftist Socialist Marxist Anti-Fascist Aliens From Outer Space and whatever might be the spin-word of the day. Now, the Antifa (anti-fascist) I can agree with as long as it is anti, as against, fascism.
What we did not allow was the Republicans to choose our candidate. Unless Trump and McConnell are defeated, how conservative or progressive our candidate, it does not matter. I don’t know how progressive Kamala Harris is, but I do know AOC and The Squad and Bernie will continue to apply pressure from the progressive side, and that is as it should be.
