My father decided that while we were on a troop ship returning from Okinawa in 1948, he would help me keep up on my second grade school work by instructing me for a hour each day – very painful for both of us and he never offered to help me in my school work again. For some of us the idea of home schooling is scary.
Here’s an idea. Ventilate the house better. How’s sitting in a chair staring forward for an hour at a time better in school than at home? Especially as COVID-19 can still break out anywhere.
We may end up with a cohort of kids who aren’t quite so regimented and lackluster as our traditional schools aim for. I wonder how that will work out. Might be very good indeed.

I hated school. I would have enjoyed learning from home. Minus the pandemic of course.

A couple of hours a day on a computer learning and not watching TV or playing video games. I’m down with that.

As the father of two college aged kids, I definitely appreciate the irony of this cartoon. Two thumbs up!

If they were in regular school, kids would have to go inside for classes. This seems kind of specious.
