How is Apple any different than Bush? If you use a computer, even 2nd hand like when you charge something, you are tracked. Government, Apple, makes no difference- none of it’s particularly legal.

Google Latitude does the same thing if you enable it.
So long as it’s something you can enable and disable is that if your phone ends up getting stolen you can track it down. One of my net friends posted how he retrieved his phone because when he discovered it was missing he enabled tracking on it and was able to recover it even after the SIM card had been swapped out.
