Out side the lab I was in during Grad School, there was a coffee maker with a small metal box beside it. The coffee was supposed to be a nickle a cup. A fellow student would hit the metal box with his ring to make the sound of a coin dropping into the box. I told him if he didn’t pay his share, the price would go up. He started hitting the box twice.
There was a story on a blind man running a vegetable/fruit stand. It was a self serve honor system. Some “person” decided to take whatever he wanted including the coin box. Little known to him there was a hidden camera set up. He got caught! Had to pay the blind guy for everything that was missing for the last 6 months. Judge pretty much threw the book at the thief.
