Growing up, there was a hill near my house that seemed like Mt Everest when trying to bike up it. I worked on the thing for I don’t know how long, practicing to get to the top without stopping. Seeing it as an adult, it’s barely a hill.
When I was a little kid my grandparents lived in a house that had pillars in front of it like the Lincoln Memorial. When I saw the house again when I was in high school it was just a porch with some supports, but they were round, so my kid brain saw them as pillars.
