To me, one big problem with the student loan racket is the fact that they give the student a lot more money than they need for school each semester. Sometimes they have thousands left over after tuition, fees, dorm, meal plan, books, etc. Instead of banking the residual, they party hard with it. Depending on the major, they find after graduation, they can’t afford the loan.

Well, buddy, you better do like my kids. They both got degrees in lucrative fields and paid off their loans in short order.
