Back in mists of the past~dude I worked with planned ahead by saving money each paycheck for multiple months. He purchased a very nice gold necklace. Then her older sibs even her Mom saw it & it was constantly being “borrowed”. Her Mom even told her it was too expensive to be worn by a Junior in high school….
