When The Declaration of Independence was drafted, conservatives wanted the American colonies to remain loyal to the British crown and not revolt. Which means that, had you been alive at the time, you would have been in favor of the removal of The Declaration of Independence. Therefore, in this comic, you are actually making fun of yourself.
So now you can feel free to laugh at yourself. The rest of us are already laughing at you (not with you).
