Many years ago I was showing my youngest son how to use a wedge. I was doing small chip shots to demonstrate the idea. “Now you try,” and I took a step back to watch. He took a full swing and the follow through caught me right in the forehead. After a 6 hrs stay in the Emergency Room and 12 stitches, I told him “That wasn’t quite what we were looking for.” I also gave him lots of room from then on out.
When I was in high school, a guy I’d had a crush on forever finally asked me out. We went to a mini golf course. I was VERY nervous. I had learned to play real golf the previous year. I was so tense that for some reason instead of putting the ball, I took a full swing at it. Put it right out into the parking lot. Last time he asked me out!
