I saw the movie, Joker, months and months ago, and I finally splurged on a DVD ‘cause it’s not available on any of my ‘paid megabucks for a movie’ cable. Now with the captions I could finally understand the full story. To me this makes more sense in our sick, sorry world than having some petty theif fall into a vat of steaming caustic chemicals and coming out of it not only green-haired, pasty faced with noticeable clown like features as a full fledged villian. Here you can watch Arthur spiral further and further into his depressed, badly injured mind, watch the safety net which got him his medications spread wide open because of budget cuts and the eventual loss of his job. That stupid show host pulled the final pin holding our poor Joker together,Aaarrggg! Soo many turning points. I still have hope there’d be a 2nd film showing his further downward spiral and fixation on the batman. Hope there weren’t many spoilers there.
