Maybe that’s why we haven’t yet had any contact with aliens—they’re so busy fighting with each other over the land rights that they haven’t been able to get around to the actual landing part yet.
Abe Lincoln and his family left KY for Illinois because they could never get the land boundaries worked out. When I first moved to KY we bought and sold a piece of land and never did figure out where it was.

Why would aliens fight over Earth with us? Just pave the planet over and make the entire solar system a parking lot.
