Why aren’t cops required to have a license like me- a retired RN?
Instead some city hall window licker can hire any dude off the street and hand him the right to gun down people for making a horrible face.
If I couldn’t cut the mustard working as a California RN, the Board of Registered Nursing could suspend my license on the spot pending a hearing. I’ve seen them do that to RN’s who refused a spot drug screen check.
So why isn’t there a Board of Registered Flat Foots? Or do you prefer to see another summer of 1968 when a different city burned every few weeks, it seemed.
If the cops are too damn chicken of civilian oversight, why do we give the yellow-bellied clowns a gun in the first place?

On this continent it has never been safe for the fellow on the right to go out – maybe it will be sometime, but don’t hold your breath.
