“shrinking it small enough to drown in a bath tub”

Except they don’t believe in that at all. I know you put it in quotes, but honestly, how small is it when it’s expanding into personal lives further and further. When they’re saying they want it in people’s sonograms, “but hey, we aren’t funding Planned Parenthood anymore,” that’s not shrinking anything.

They should start with their own jobs.

    HOWGOZIT,

If you want to be an agent provocateur here, at least consider what you have to say a bit more carefully. Obama’s stimulus spending reversed the job losses caused by the economic collapse that began and accelerated before his presidency. The Republicans’ economic policies will not help get the country back on track. They will reward the wealthy who are doing their best to keep production costs down by outsourcing jobs.

I believe the “bathtub” quote is one of Grover Norquist’s famous ones. Along with wanting to return the country to the age of the Robber Barons.

Grover has consulted to 2 or 3 republican presidents on economic policy.

Jade, they want smaller government and less government intrusion only when they’re not talking about women. We women simply cannot be trusted to know what’s best for ourselves.

Oh hey, there’s a book about that … um … Barbara Ehrenreich, “For Her Own Good”.

The entire House GOP cut only equals the second, unwanted, engine for the F-35 junk program. (which Boehner and Cantor won’t cut) Get real, folks.
