Stick and Chuck, Gil’s approach was soooooo bad because he’s never coached before…and he’s mentally, umm, challenged. An easy way I can think of is to put it to a team vote. “I have never done this before but if you boys think we should let Derek be an exception, let’s take a vote on it.” …done!
