I like having the woodpeckers trying our metal gutters—the sound isn’t pleasant but watching my wife jump straight up is fun. :-)
Hey, when did this guy show up?
He didn’t get here before I went to bed.
Must have stopped for a few bites of somebody’s house on the way.
Meanwhile… No woodpeckers near me.
I have to settle for raucous crows, and mockingbirds, even more loudly imitating crows.
You can tell it’s a mockingbird, not a crow…

cos the caws alternate with tweets, other calls, and an avian impression of meows, dog barks, and beeping car horns.
