I was ‘loaned’ out to another division but an employee could only have one computer and one user name within the large corporation. The user name had to ID the employee. IT, to resolve me having two user IDs, named the new computer with my ID and gave me a fictitious user name. Felt kinda of nice to have a big gray pizza box named after me. My user name was set to “Kalki” after a Hindu god. I would use a lot of CPU time on the large servers. In meetings I would hear complaints about that Kalki guy using too much resources. I simply agreed with the complainers. The bureaucracy was too big to easily find that I was Kalki.
