Been there, last month. Whole family had about a dozen different bugs between us all. Took two and a half weeks to get everybody healthy again.

Why do they keep calling out the President’s name?

It’s Jan Eliot’s way showing her feelings about our president, no doubt.

The President spells his name with 1 R. What they keep yelling out has 2 Rs. Refer to the dictionary:

a building or group of buildings for lodging soldiers, especially in garrison. any large, plain building in which many people are lodged. ”

(and apparently in British and Australian English is also means “to shout boisterously for or against a player or team; root or jeer. “)

Jan is using sound effects. I hope this strip is not contagious. Mom and grandma will be next. That is why I’m careful of what I eat.

With spring time there is chicken pox starting around the area. I’m done with all that and long before shots came up for chicken pox. Let nature take over.

@mblase75 - I can sympathize. I just went through the same thing, only it seems my kids never get sick during the day. It’s always the middle of the night. Last time one started at about 10:30pm and the next waited until abut 4:30am.

From the looks on & shade of Holly’s face in P4 I think Jan & Gran might want quickly watch their toes!!

Okay, everyone choose a bathroom/sink and stick to your station. Call in for reinforcements as needed!

This is a time when more than one great-white-throne in the house comes in handy.

I am appalled that Jan Eliot has been associating vomiting with Barack Obama. I liked this comic strip until yesterday and today. I will not read this comic anymore.

28 Days Later…

I just noticed that in panel 3, if you look carefully, you can see Alix racing somewhere like mad. Wonder where…

And in panel 4, Holly’s face is a lovely pale green.

Do I want to read this for the next few days? Well, I’ll wash my hands before and after, and not let anyone breathe on me.

Well that’s one barrack for Holly and one barrack for Alix. Makes 2 barracks of course. What does that have to do with the US president? Is he sick too?

If I get sick, I want someone to cuddle me like Val in panel 2! Altho I don’t think it will help. Much.

Having raised 4 kids who were very close in age (my X prevented all my attempts of birth control) I can totally relate to this with all the repercussions of missing work and taking my sick days to nurse the kids.
