Jason really does care about Eileen. I love the way these strips portray the battle of the sexes :)

Part of me wishes that Foxtrot would have done a flash forward to see a glimpse of Jason and Eileen in their teen years. Just a glimpse! Oh, well - it was never meant to be. I think some of the funniest Foxtrot strips are the ones where Jason is trying to figure out what to do about Eileen….

It appears that Jason is the one who will get what RavennaAl, Skeeterhawk, Lewread and perfesser alluded to and what comedian Ron White calls a Mouth Hug. Just look at his expression.
