GOP: Their candidate has numerous reasonably well documented allegations of impropriety up to and including rape. Their response: Ho-hum. Dem response: Outrage.
Dems: Their candidate has a single poorly documented allegation from a woman whose story has changed a lot over time. Their response: Angst and difficulty. GOP response: “Use it to hammer nails in his coffin!!!!”
What’s clear to me: The GOP is much better at getting out their message to their voters than the Dems are. The only saving grace is that, apparently, the GOP is aging out and will eventually sink into its own cess.
Recently, Reade said, in an interview, that at the time of the alleged assault she registered a complaint with the Senate. On Friday, Biden publicly asked that the complaint be made public. On Monday, the Secretary of the (republican controlled) Senate said that, to protect privacy, that was illegal. Whose privacy are they protecting?
I trust the young lady in the “#me, too” shirt is not surprised at the response from the Trumpian “mouth-breather” on the right.
Trumpians are well aware that their side discounts all accusations against Trump that Trump denies (and he denies them all!), while at the same time being aware that the people on the left have great difficulty dealing with the moral ambiguity presented by the allegations of Ms. Reade.
This will cause more than one person to decide against supporting Biden – and while they might not vote for Trump – ultimately, the result will be the same, because that’s the way the “either/or” political system works in America
The GOP are running scared, because then they would have to produce all records of trumps dirty deeds and that’s never gonna happen! Oh the evil web they weave, when they hide and then deceive….
23 allegations of sexual assault against Hair Groppenfuror dating back to the ’80s. Sleeping with other women while married. Totally inappropriate sexual comments regarding his own daughter and teen-age contestants in a beauty contest. Payoffs to women to buy their silence regarding his pecadillos. Still waiting for these to be an issue with PINO Trump.
I am increasingly convinced that Ms. Reade is a woman with serious problems, who is being taken advantage of by the Republicans.
Even if her accusations were true (and which one? They’ve changed repeatedly and dramatically!), Biden is still FAR, FAR better than #45, who has 25 women who came forward SO FAR, as well as repeated accusations of rape, and close association with Epstein’s rape island as well.
And yet the GOP will try to use this to minimize #45’s open harassment and rape, pretending that they are equal, and therefore it doesn’t matter. Or they can bully Biden into stepping down the way they did Al Franken, laughing as they know how many of their own party are far more guilty and getting away with it.
I’ll go farther: if both are guilty, put ’em both in jail. But I think only one of them is.
Where’d she get that #METOO t-shirt? Because that’s certainly not how MeToo responded. They went from “believe women” to “believe Biden”, and they’ve been ignoring the Reade allegations for a long time.
Hmm, there is also the issue of a once attractive up and coming young woman, who has not aged well, professionally or physically, creating a past of glory, that never was?

Actually, we do need to consider the accusations against Biden – at the same time we do a serious inquiry into the accusations against Trump.

As long as we can freely hear from Trump’s 21 accusers.

All Joe needs to do is say something like “it’s okay if you’re a celebrity”, or “I like beer”, and it’ll be all good…

Don’t worry. If Tara’s bid to stop Joe becoming the next POTUS fails, the GOP will find some other willing woman to claim Joe raped her.

I find it hard to believe that when he was vetted for VP under Obama, NOTHING was found …
