Well, Heart, you just pushed back when you are going to get your ears pierced! It would not surprise me if Heart sneaks off with her Mom’s credit card and gets her ears pierced only to find out just how painful the piercing can be.
I remember that it took my ears two minutes (yes I timed it) before the throbbing stopped and eight months for the swelling to go done while applying peroxide to both ears and turning the blue Tiffany Montana piercing studs (which I still have) twice a day for a few months. I also was not able to donate blood for six months, but I added a year just to make sure I did not have any problems with my piercing when wearing different pierced earrings due to how much each weighed.
I recall my mom telling me she got her ears pierced at a friend’s house. They used an ice cube and a needle, then they put in a “starter” set of earrings in. Took them all afternoon and it was a lot of pain but my mom came out with a fresh set of pierced, if not super-swollen and painful, ears.

Heart, did you notice that the other girls were with adults? Parental consent is required in Pennsylvania, isn’t it? That’s the case in most states.
