    Looking back…

Thank you, Marilyn and Swee-pea for the snake stories. I thought they might go to whatever heights they need for food. Now if we could only protect the worms and bugs the birds thoughtlessly “food”.

Mimi has apparently gone home. Ches is declaring his love to an empty room. Ditto for Jack. Lucky for them Lily didn’t get wind of it.

Saw a flock of ducks this afternoon, they aren’t native Nevadans. Also a ruby throated hummer. Now those are native.

Ok so now I’m bird watching, what else is there?

Just found this, I know it’s not a cat, but the dog looks done with quarantined human shenanigans ;-)

I wonder if either of those boys will have the nerve to mail their letters to their lady love?

    Today is:

National Take a Chance Day. Does that mean I should buy a lottery ticket today?

National picnic Day. That’s out on two counts. One, I have to work and two, rain is in the forecast.

National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. With so many people working from home, the kids are already at people’s work places.

National Talk Like Shakespeare Day. I never could understand Shakespeare, so I certainly could not talk like him.

National Poem in Your Pocket Day.

National Cherry Cheesecake Day.I’d love some cherry cheesecake!

    National Lost Dog Awareness Day

    FRom yesterday’s comments,

by zippykatz “I love books! If my book collection fell on me I’d never be seen again. same with jigsaw puzzles.”

I’m the same. I buy all my books used from library book sales. mostly and a few from garage sales. A couple libraries around here have a deal where you pick out as many books (and CD’s & sometimes jigsaw puzzles) as you want, then pay whatever you think it’s worth. I usually fill a bag & give them $10. Our town charges 50 cents for paperback books and $1 for hardcover books. Cross Plains always has their library book sale the first weekend in May. I don’t suppose that will happen this year.

I have a lot of jigsaw puzzles too. I buy those from garage sales, mostly. Years ago, I hit the jackpot. getting puzzles for 10 cents each. I picked out about 10 of them, then the people running the sale told me to take more for free, which I did.

It’s funny, my late, departed kitty could care less for salmon or shrimp. But tuna would bring him running from wherever he was in the house. Also, olives was an intense attraction to him.

Uh oh, looks like there’s going to be some rivalry for Mimeaux’s affections! On another note, aw a raven while out walking today.
