It’s worse than that because the internet is being used to spread both the harm and the good. I have kin who are intelligent, thoughtful and unlikely to go off half cocked… who have gone off half cocked. At least they do respond to reason when you point out their mistake in forwarding untruth… unlike many others I see.
The biggest problem is that people seem to assume if it’s on the internet with a URL address that means it’s a verifiable fact. PEOPLE, anything can be put on the internet. It could give FAUX almost, sorta like, could be in an alternative universe, the news, a run as the top propaganda outlet.
