Our parents and grandparents lived through WWII and the “war effort” on the home front for over 4 years. I think we can sit our a$$es on the couch for a few more weeks :P
I Just got off the phone. It was the president of my chapter of the Lions Club, checking to see if I was OK. A couple days ago, I heard from my church, calling to see if we needed any groceries. In a few minutes, I’m going to call my heart-sister and heart-brother in Missouri to see how they are faring.
Yesterday, I talked to my neighbor and asked if she needed anything. She and the neighbor on the other side of her were OK.
I’m in touch, via emails with twenty or thirty other folks. We will get through this… but we have to keep the lines open.
Remember that while America “takes care of our own” it would be really nice if in November we took care of Capt. Chaos & Co. in a really fitting way. Vote them on to a very leaky boat at sea over the Marianus Trench.
