Burr immediately asked for cover from the Senate ethics Committee since Barr knows that proving culpability in an insider trading case is almost impossible to do – if the PERCEPTION of what Senator Burr has done is not enough to block his reelection, then his constituents are sending a very clear message that they are comfortable with the level of corruption that Burr represents.
