Well, I don’t see the point in writing that sentence over and over on the chalkboard. But typing “The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy sleeping dogs” over and over was an exercise to familiarize ourselves with the position of all the letters on the keyboard. The sentence contains all 26 letters. But writing it out doesn’t make any sense.

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Jumps, not jumped, gets the s in there without making the sentence longer.
