I remember hearing about kids in Hilo in 1946, who seeing lots of fish flopping around on the suddenly waterless shore, ran out to collect as many as they could. Some did not make it back alive. They acted out of ignorance (nobody repeated that stunt in 1964). They didn’t have someone to advise them of their folly, unlike Trump and pretty much any subject he flubs. Because he always has the right words ….
I watched that happen once years ago on a beach outside Subic Bay Naval Base. When the tourists saw Filipinos running inland as fast as they could they very wisely followed suit. I don’t believe anyone was lost in that one as it was a fairly small volcanic eruption under water. I’m sure that idiot Rump would have waded on out with his syncophants in tow.
Covid19 is just getting going. We don’t really know what the mortality rate (in Wuhan it varies greatly) is and they seem to think most people who get it have mild cases. Right now I am just being extra careful about washing but the hands to face thing may be my downfall plus I work with the public – washed and possibly unwashed.
There is nothing to panic about. It is an overhyped variety of the common cold. But still safe to take reasonable precautions like you should always, especially during cold and flu season, such as wash your hands after touching unsanitary stuff and before eating or touching your eyes nose or mouth, eat well, get your sleep, take your vitamins, etc. along with continual monitoring of the situation.

So Ramirez thinks the worst is about to hit and Trump is standing in ground zero. Interesting.

Am I seeing a pattern of disappointment in Trump in Mikey’s toons lately?

The 1918 flu began in the winter, went dormant in the summer and struck with a vengeance in the fall.

“Huh, I voted a demented coked-up psychopath for president, and now he’s acting recklessly in the face of a possible major disaster. WEIRD!”

Perfectly drawn image of il Douche in snorkel gear: He’s got the mask pushing his hair into his eyes. So dumb AND blind.
