Avenatti is convicted of extortion. This doesn’t improve DJT’s chances of avoiding the same fate if he doesn’t win the election this November and thus loses the shield of Presidential protection from scrutiny of his tax returns, and other financial records, that Republicans have erected around him.
There’s a chance both Avenatti and Mr. Orange Hue will be serving long and well-deserved sentences in the same prison a couple of years from now. Lame what-about-ism never makes any sense whatsoever, but especially not in this instance.
