Yay, something has changed. Baldo is finally old enough to work on this own car, Papa is ready to move one. Maybe Gracie will finally move to second grade. Better yet – she could skip right into high school.

Want to bet that Carmen will start match-making?

Could be that Sergio merely removed the ring in order to clean it. Or maybe he wants to get it re-sized because it could have been pinching his finger.

Based on yesterday’s strip, I think Sergio has made the agonizing decision to move on.

One of the many, MANY decisions a widowed person has to make- on their own- and that no matter what they decide it will make someone mad. How soon do you remove the ring, and what does it mean to have removed it? Absolutely everyone he knows will have an opinion, spoken aloud or not, and some will no doubt be quite insensitive about it, whether they are expressing approval or disapproval!
