Ralph is sure not helping..worse, he isn’t sympathetic at all.

looks like a conversation you should be having with Patrick (or Bob at the very least)…

Hey Norm…be a man and go explain to Echo! Stop sitting around and whining!

and then there was the time he was in the doghouse and then got thrown under the bus , doghouse and all

Maybe Norman should talk to Mom instead.

I came here hoping for more analogies…

The strip for 6-4-1998 has Norm’s mom trying to discourage him from going out with two girls at once. His dad has a plan to help him do it.

Ralph — Lassie was a star. Didn’t have a doghouse. More likely a grand apartment with wall-to-wall fire hydrants.

Typical. No matter how bad I felt after a bad experience, I could depend on my family o make me feel worse. Salt in my wounds. Insult to injury. What goes around, comes around. When they had a misfortune, and I gave a comment, they bawled and called me insensitive.

Norm, it’s time to move on, away from Dad.

Norm write her a letter and explain what happened and tell her you’d like to take her do dinner.

Compared to Ralph, ANYONE would be a help.
