It all falls back on us. We can make the GOP regret not putting country ahead of party by voting them out. We can make Facebook care about the truth by boycotting them. What we can’t do is buy the bull____ that our votes don’t matter or get caught up in “my choice or nobody” arguments. Vote in the primaries but coalesce behind the presidential nominee and don’t forget to vote out those Senators and representatives who protected this criminal administration. It’s your patriotic duty.

The Iowa caucus is thus far an unmitigated disaster. The state, which is an increasingly bad demographic fit for this undue influence on the Democratic primary, seems incapable of fitting the caucus into the position of front runner that was its traditional role..

So, super Tuesday (where things will clearly start come 2024). The question there is whether the twin specters of a self proclaimed socialist candidate who is not even a member of the party and a (now) Democrat New York billionaire who has bought his way into the campaign – and quite a bit in between – will create a less self inflicted but no less chaotic form of mayhem?

Will Bloomberg rise beyond his current polling (polls for this are even more unreliable than usual) and stay in the race to the bitter end? Will Sanders do that and more, but ultimately lose, with some large minority of his voters ignoring his calls to support the actual nominee?

Meanwhile here on February 4 2020 Iowa still matters and still has nothing to show for its caucus.. Twitler is already projecting swampy lies on Twitter like a monkey throwing poo at the spectators, jealous to not be at the center of this particular spectacle..

However on Farcebook, Cheeto Jesus has spent almost 20 million on almost 220,000 ads – more than Biden, Warren, Bloomberg and Sanders combined. Hair Furor has taken his 2016 Farcebook architect and promoted him to 2020 campaign manager (sure to be the first of many). They’re busy hoovering up vast quantities of Trumper data (including geofencing Dotard rallies and evangelical mega churches) to put Caimbridge Analytica’s 2016 efforts to shame..

So, a day before Agent Orange’s inevitable acquittal, we have to ask – is this fibrillating mass of corn fed mess the early warning of how democracy ends in America? I just hope the Democratic Party focus on nominating the candidate who can beat Drumph.

People lose interest and countries die, happens throughout history. We are entering our dotage and decline.

Jen… I so value and appreciate your comics….. but, damn…. I cannot say that today I feel demoralized and dejected. In many ways, the ample truth you speak in the above has me feel all hope is lost.

I will vote BLUE no matter what…. but the idea of four more tRump years….. just too, too harsh.

Oh,..and about the electoral college dit. Your vote may NOT count under the current system. When faithless electors (who vote against what your own state wants) are taken care of in a new bill that the Senate (won’t pass), ..your vote MIGHT count.
