Panel 4 reminds me of the foot operated door pulls the management of my previous work place installed on all the bathroom doors during the big swine flu scare. I used those all the time. Not because of the worry of germs mind you, but because of how few of my coworkers bothered to wash their hands after answering the call of nature.
Come to think of it, that place is also one of the reasons I started carrying packages of moist towelettes with me. Bad for the environment, but sometimes you just NEED to clean your hands.
The Shock Doctrine in action; never let a disaster go to waste. Or a minor health issue. (Over 360 people dead so far across the world! If this continues, there’ll be as many people dead as die every day from the flu in the U.S. during flu season!)
The US government will approach this like they do a lot of other things. Those that have money will be fine and those that don’t better watch their back, so to speak.
